THE CCIF SCHOLARSHIP AND
DEVELOPMENT FUND
In 1998, in association with the Society of Boys' Centres, Hong Kong (“the Society”), we established the CCIF Scholarship & Development Fund (“the Fund”). The Fund sponsors students and teaching staff of the Society participating in overseas exchanges, and professional development programs that help widen their horizons and serve people in need.
Since then, the Fund has sponsored hundreds of students, teaching staff and social workers of the society in different programs. Places visited included Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shaoquan, Lianxian, Taiwan, Macao and Singapore. Participants had opportunities of visiting educational and social service facilities, attending various educational, cultural or relevant events, in addition to networking with colleagues there. Students participated in the programs witnessed different forms of school life in Mainland China, from computerised elitist school, military training of Whampao Military College, to shabby schools in the poorest rural area. These experiences will definitely help them broaden their mind and see things in different perspectives.

THE CCIF SCHOLARSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT FUND
In 2006, CCIF sponsored the "New Great Wall Self-Improvement Project" for 100 disadvantaged students from the remote regions in China to attend four universities in Guangdong Province. CCIF provided the living expenses for their entire 4-year university studies. This project provides opportunities to create a bright future for disadvantaged students, and provides a measure of help to China to train more talents to serve the country.
The Fund had also sponsored production of a CD for the “Personal and Social Curriculum”. This program is for mainstream primary school students from Year 3 to Year 6. The aim is to raise students' ability in self-learning, as well as the awareness of inter-personal relationships and ethics. The overall objective is to help them face and deal with challenges.
The Fund will continue to sponsor various events of the Society, as a way of benefiting more children and a social contribution to the place we live and work in.
